Mrs. Flora E. McClure, 87, died Wednesday, September 27, at 3;02 p.m. in Keosauqua.
She was born May 18, 1885, in Davis County to Eliza and Martha Brown. A resident of Eldon most of her life, she was a member of the Eldon United Methodist Church.
She married Oscar Hootman who preceded her in death. She later married Henry McClure who also preceded her in death, along with two daughters and one son.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Russell of Minneapolis; two sons, Leslie Hootman of North Hollywood, Calif., and Krist Hootman of Rock Island, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jennie Rock of Eldon; a stepson, Van McClure of Selma; four half sisters, Mrs. Mary Batterson of Mascoutah, Ill., Mrs. Flossie Carter of Eldon, Mrs. Gladys Richards of La Puente, Cal., and Mrs. Ethel DeBolt of Whittier, Cal.; two half brothers, Sam Brown of Eldon, and John Brown of Los Angeles, Calif; six grandchildren and 10 great - grandchildren.
