Hazleton Standard-Sentinel; Thursday, July 13, 1933:
Alfred Bedbenner, aged 77 years, died yesterday at 5:45 a.m. at the home of his son, Harry Bedbenner of 340 East Mine street, after a four weeks illness. He was born in Beaver township, Columbia county, but spent most of his life in Hazleton, Mr. Bedbenner was a member of Grace Reformed church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary and the following children: Harry of Hazleton; Thomas of Philadelphia; Peter of Freeland; Jessup of Dickson City, Pa.; Mrs. Alfred Gross of Bristol, Pa. and Mrs. William Klisher of Mt. Carmel, also the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Fiana Miller of Ringtown; Mrs. Mary McAfee of Oakdale; Rebecca of Sunbury; Mrs. Jane Boyle of Freeland, Mrs. Clara McAfee of Beaver Meadow; Mrs. Elizabeth Kester of Conyngham; William Bredbenner of Oakdale and Francis Bredbenner of Conyngham and 26 grandchildren.

The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be held at the house by Rev. William Toennes, pastor of Grace Reformed church. Interment will be in the Mt. View cemetery.
