DALEY AND FISHER ARE CHARGED WITH RECKLESS DRIVING
A charge of driving an automobile in a reckless manner has been referred to the county attorney against Roy Daley and Alfred Fisher of Somers, and they will appear before Justice McCarthy this evening for pleading.
The case is the outgrowth of the automobile accident in which Mrs. Ruby Anderson was killed on the Somers-Holt road several months ago, for which Caesar Pantero is serving a term for manslaughter.
At the hearing Daley testified that he was driving Fisher's car and that Pantero was following in an attempt to determine the speed at which Pantero's car would travel, as the speedometer was out of order. Daley safely passed the car in which Mrs. Anderson was riding with her husband, but Pantero, in attempting to pass the Anderson car, struck and overturned it.
