OBITUARY
Jerry W. Britt
Jerry W. Britt died Sunday in University hospital in Oklahoma City. He suffered a heart attack. Mr. Britt had managed the Choctaw Nursery since 1940. He is survived by his wife Billie, of the home, four sons, Robert W. Britt of the U.S. Army; Leslie W., Robert Lee and Roland Joe, all of the home; one daughter, Evajean, of the home. Also three brothers, Ed, Otis and Arlie, all of California; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Upton and Mrs. Alberta Cadwell both of California; his mother, Mrs. Josie Cardell lives in Keyes, California. Jerry was born in Tennessee in 1910, moved to Shawnee with his parents in 1922 and to Choctaw in 1940. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Services will be held later in the week at Choctaw with interment in the Kolb cemetery at Spencer, Arrangements are announced by the Wilson Funeral home of Harrah.
