Mary Swygard
Mary Melina Swygard, 82, died Sunday at the the North Hill Nursing Home in Burlington.
She was born June 9, 1872, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Mehaffy, and lived in the Mediapolis vicinity her entire life until she was admitted to the nursing home about one year ago.
She was married to William H. Swygard, May 22, 1924. He preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1954.
One sister, Mrs. Martha Caldwell of Mediapolis survives as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
The former Mediapolis woman was a member of the Sharon Reformed Presbyterian church near Morning Sun.
Funeral services will be held at the Sharon church Tuesday at 2 p.m. and burial will be in Kossuth cemetery
