Son of Ephraim Goble and Hannah Virgin. His brother William married his wife on October 18, 1857. His brother William and his mother-in-law Nancy Cains satisfied the bond requirements for Resin Goble's Will in April and October of 1856.

In 1856, Resin Goble was the Guardian of David Kibby and Thomas Kibby, sons of his sister Jemima Goble Kibby.
