Claibourne Neal Alexander III passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by devoted family after many steadfast years of challenges with cancer. Neal attended local schools and graduated from Clearwater High School in 1953. He attended the University of Florida and was a “forever Gator fan.” Neal served in both the Merchant Marine and the U.S. Army, sailing to ports around the world. His career was spent in the funeral supply business, most recently a memorial counselor with Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater, Florida. He was well known and highly respected for a steady work ethic and dedication to his profession. Neal was a member and past president of the Casado Club and formerly the Clearwater Lions Club and Rotary Club. He was an outstanding golfer throughout his lifetime and spent the majority of his leisure time enjoying his favorite pastimes of fishing and stone crabbing.
