passed away August 31, 2016 at his home.
William was born in Scott County, Kentucky on September 16, 1927 to the
late Joe W. and Amra Cox Burgess
He retired from Norfolk Rqilroad, was a member of Local #49 Brothrrhood Signalmen, attended Connersville Christian Church and was a World War II
Army Veteran .
William is survived by his granddaughter , Andrea, ( David ), two great- grandchildren , Olivia Marie and James Michael, neice, Ginny, great- nephew, Robin L. , brother-in-law, Willis.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Shackelford.

Georgetown Cemetery.
