The younger of two children, Florence was born to Earl and Mabel Fuller on August 9, 1920 on a claim in Big Lake, Minnesota. After living for a time in Bismarck, ND, the family migrated to Portland, Oregon in 1923 where she and her sister, Virginia, attended Kellogg Grade School and Franklin High School. Florence also earned degrees from Cascade College (a Christian college in Portland) and Oregon College of Education (Monmouth). As a member of Salem Evangelical Church, she served as Children's Sunday School Supt., Director of Children's Literature, and Vacation Bible School Director. She is survived by her children, Georgia Larson (and husband, Dwight Larson), of Newberg; David Forgard (and wife, Susan Forgard) of Winchester; and John Forgard of Salem; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
