On December 1, 2006, age 86 of Edgemont St., Port Richmond, Phila., PA. Pre-deceased by her husband, Fred (Sidgie) Cimino, her parents, Isydor Glowacz and Antonina (Babula) Glowacz, and her brothers and sisters: Catherine Zelem, Stefania Tokarski, Peter Glowacz, Anna Miller, Mary Anna Witkowski, Bertha Milosek, Genevieve Zangari, and Stanley Glowacz. Survived by her sons: Fred Cimino of Clayton, NJ and Ernest Cimino of Warminster, PA and her daughters-in-law, Mary A. Cimino and Josie Cimino along with her grandchildren, Gregory Cimino, Kenneth Cimino, Mark Cimino, Esq., Colleen Green, and Jennifer Ann MacMillan. Survived also by her grandsons-in-law, Brian MacMillan and Stephan Green and granddaughters-in-law, Laurie Paul Cimino, Esq. and Katie Dillon Cimino. Also survived by her great grandchildren: Paul Cimino, Catherine Cimino, Carlie MacMillan and Madison MacMillan and her dear sister-in-law, Anna Hegedus Glowacz and several nieces and nephews.
Agnes was a graduate of Mastbaum Vocational-Techni-cal High School where she trained in Home Economics and was employed as a marker for 25 years at Lit Brothers, 8th and Market Streets. Proud of her membership in Teamsters Local #115, Phila., she champ-ioned the rights of employees in the workplace and walked many picket lines. She was an accomplished artist who enjoyed sketching wildflowers and creating paper cut-outs. As a story-teller of family history, she captivated her audiences with tales of early family life in her Port Richmond neighborhood. An excellent writer, Agnes passed this ability to her children. She possessed a special fondness for children who always found her personality and story-telling abilities fascinating, as well. Agnes was proud of the fact that she skipped the sixth grade and she could read, write, and speak the Polish language. She loved to read poetry and was especially fond of the work of W.M. Letts and his poem 'I Saw the Spires of Oxford.' For her, a party or wedding celebration was not complete until she danced the polka. Agnes leaves us with strong family values and traditions that we always remember as her legacy. Her love, independ-ance and compassion will be sadly missed.
Family and friends are invited to her viewing Tuesday eve 7 to 9PM at the EUGENE A. GNIEWEK FUNERAL HOME, 2711-13 E. Allegheny Ave., cor. of Tilton St. I-95 Allegheny Exit. Mass 10AM Wednesday St. Adalbert R.C. Church. Int. St. Dominic Cem.
