Mrs. Brennan was a secretary for the Morehouse Parish School Board for a number of years . She was also a secretary for Brown and Root Construction Company. She then served as secretary at the First Baptist Church of Swartz until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. Heard, Jr. and Beatrice Carter Heard; and her first husband, John Rials.
She was survived by her husband, Roy Brennan of Monroe; two sons, Lynn Rials and wife Penny of Fountain Hill, AR and Gary Rials and wife Sheila of West Monroe; two daughters, Sonia Brennan and Cheryl Sommers, both of West Monroe; one sister, Dahlia Hale of Bastrop; one brother, John T. Heard, III of West Monroe; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
