Suzie Lee Burney, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 in Henryetta, Oklahoma at the age of 79. She was born July 1, 1937 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Sam Bozarth and Mary Johnson Bozarth.
Suzie married the love of her life Connie Milford Burney "Dude" in 1960. She was a member of the Hoffman Baptist Church. She dearly enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed camping at the lake with her family and friends, fishing, playing cards and shopping. She enjoyed large family gatherings and was best known for her fantastic cooking.
Suzie was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mary Bozarth, her husband Connie Milford "Dude" Burney, son, Arthur Burney, her siblings, three brothers, Bill Doyle and Gilbert Bozarth and two sisters, Betty Henley and Sara Nunn.
Suzie is survived by three sons, Larry Burney and companion, Carolyn Herbert, James Burney, and Bill Burney and wife Kathy, one daughter-in-law, Linda Burney, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoffman Baptist Church with Rev. Duke Britt officiating. Interment will follow at Hoffman Cemetery.
