81, of Aurora, IL died at Countryside Care Centre on Tuesday, January 6, 1998. She was born on November 25, 1916 in Aurora, IL.

Mrs. Chioni graduated from Holy Angels School and Madonna High School.

She was a member of Holy Angels Church in Aurora.

Survivors include her two sons, Ejon (Pat) Chione of Montgomery, IL and David (Gayle) Chione of Northboro, MA; two daughters, Ruth (Mike) Amwoza of Frankfort, IL and Jane (Mike) Auter of Aurora, IL; 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Trudy Catich and one brother, Leo Mateas, both of Aurora, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Chioni; her parents, Jacob & Mary Mateas; two brothers, Herman and Carl Mateas and one sister, Clare Mulligan.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 1998 from the Dieterle Memorial Home to Holy Angels Church for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Fr. Gerald Kobbemann will officiate with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday with a 7:00 p.m. wake service at Dieterle Memorial Home.

Contributions in Mrs. Chioni's memory may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
