Amy Best Stoddard 88, passed away September 28, 2006 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Mrs. Stoddard was born in Washington, D.C. and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past 21 years coming from Oakton, VA.

Prior to retirement she worked for 30 years as a Secretary for Professional Engineering Society in Washington, D.C.

She enjoyed cooking and spending time with friends and family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years James William Stoddard.

Survivors include one daughter, Joanne P. Pifer of Port St. Lucie, FL; one son, James G. Stoddard of Burke, VA; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
