Daniel was born on October 20, 1947 in Silvis, a son of Cecil and Virginia Lopez Hernandez Sr. He married Jeanine Eddy on July 27, 1991 in Milan. Dan worked for John Deere PDC, Milan for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed collecting hats. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Dan cherished his family. His wife, children and grandchildren were his life.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanine; children, Daniel (Juanita) Hernandez, Milan, Tracy Hernandez, Port Byron, Danielle Hernandez (Brett Copp), Phoenix, AZ., Rebecca (Ryan) Aschemann, Rock Island and Jeff (Jaime) Brown, Rock Island; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Cecil Hernandez Jr., St. Charles, IL., Adela (Jesse) Lopez Sr., Sterling, Fredrick (Mona) Hernandez, Rock Island, Louis (Amy) Hernandez, Silvis, Linda (Daniel) Stark, Shelby Township, MI., and Rose Hernandez (Armando Alvarado), Silvis; brothers in law and a sister in law, Mike (Sandy) Eddy, Kenosha, WI. and Gary Eddy, Milan; mother in law, Frances Baines, Milan.
