Modeste Emery Pelletier, 77, died here Tuesday morning at the home of her son Edmund, following a long illness.

She was born at Daigle, November 28, 1884, daughter of Abraham and Annie (Pelletier) Bernier. Surviving are her widower, Menas, Sheridan; two sons, Edmund Emery of Sheridan and Leonard Emery, Loraine, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Chester McBrierty, Greenville and Mrs. Joseph Morin, Bristol, Conn.; one brother, Frank of Sheridan, ? grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
