Lois is the daughter of Henry Arnold (1822-1888) and Elizabeth Green (1833-1911). She was one of nine children.
She married Byron Robert Crosby in May 1889. They became the parents of three sons: Byron Robert Jr., Henry William, and Robert Edward.
Lois died at age 31 when the boys were still small - age 8, 5, and 2.
