Donald L. "Pif" Wagaman, 72, of 404 Diller Road, Hanover, died Tuesday, July 15, in York Hospital.
Born July 10, 1925 in McSherrystown, he was the son of the late Claude E. an Grace Lawrence Wagaman. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean L. Cook Wagaman.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Hanover. He was also a member of McSherrystown Knights of Columbus and Delone Catholic Athletic Association, where he was a member of the chain gang at the football games for many years.
He was a retired postal clerk from Hanover Post Office, where he worked for more that 40 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Thomas M. Wagaman of Abbottstown and Scott R. Wagaman of Hanover; three daughters, Carol A. Troyer, Barbara E. Foulk and Cathy L. James, all of Hanover; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Raymond Wagaman of Hanover and three sisters, Claudine Baker and Jeanne Albright, both of Hanover and Edith Rice of McSherrystown.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Norman Hohenwarter officiating. Interment will be at the family's convenience.
