D/O Litman Goldwasser and Celia; W/O Nathan Rudel (b. abt. 1825 - d. abt. 1851) and Rabbi Aharon Shlomo Brükman (1826 - 1891); M/O fifteen children including Ida Yetta Rudolph (1851-1908), Aaron Bruckman (1860-1943), Dwore Necha Brukman (~1862-1898), Gersz Tzvi Brukman (1866-1868), Fannie Bruckman (~1870), Joseph Bruckman (1872-1927), Hyman Brookman (1875-1968), Laja Bajla Bruckman (~1878), Alta Zelajna Bruckman (1879-1880) and David Benjamin Bruckman (1880-1963).

Sarah Leah lived to be 112 years of age. In her final years she lived in the Home of the Daughters of Israel on Central Park East in Manhattan, where she was the oldest resident. At her death in 1938 she had over 70 living descendants. She outlived twelve of her fifteen children and had two living second great grandchildren in 1938.
