Florence was a personal care giver who dedicated over 35 years of her life to her friends and ones she served.
She is survived by her husband, Claude B. Roberts of Amherst; daughter, Mary A. Burnley and husband, Charles of Shipman; two sisters, Nellie F. Sharpe of Shipman and Betty Whittaker of Colleen; two step-daughters, Joyce Roberts and Becky Roberts both of Charlottesville; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Pastor Nathan Weidman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made in Florence's memory to Unity Baptist Church P.O. Box 202 Monroe, Virginia 24574.
