WILLIS W. HILLIARD, 78, RETIRED CISNE MAN, DIES
Willis W. Hilliard, 78, of Cisne, the brother of Mrs. Dan (Edith) Rogers, of Cisne, died at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 1986, at St. Mary's Hospital in Cedntralia, where he submitted to treatment of pneumonia and a stroke.
Mr. Hilliard was a retired mechanic and truck driver, who mainly worked in California prior to returning to Wayne County several years ago.
RITES FRIUDAY
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with Rev. Melvin Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Cisne Cemetery.
Visitation is planned from 6-8 pm thursday (tonight).
Mr. Hilliard was born in Wayne County, Nov 25, 1907, the son of William and Alice Hillard.
He married the former Helen (Kent) Jackson in 1956 in Reno, NV. Mrs. Hiliard died June 7, 1977. The Hilliards returned to Wayne County prior to Mrs. Hilliard's death.
Mr. Hiliard was a member of the Rock Branch General Baptist church South of Cisne.
THE SURVIVORSSurviving are three sisters, Mrs. Dan (Edith) Rogers ; Mrs. Edgar (Allie) Cousin, both of Springfield; two step-daughters. Mrs. Imogene Smith of Sessner, Ala; Mrs. Leon (Peggy) McCord, of Hope hill, Ala; one step-son JAmes Jackson, of Bessener, Ala; and seven step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, a brother, his wife and parents.
