Elmer Burmeier and Ida A. Hoffman married 12 April 1948 in Jackson, Tennessee.

Elmer Burmeier, known familiarly as "Red," worked 25 years for Hammond Florist. He retired in 1972.

Mr. Burmeier served in the military during World War II.

He belonged to the North Side Boat Club in Quincy, Illinois.
