Alfred Arning and Lillian Channel married 4 July 1941 at St. Anthony Catholic church in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mrs. Lillian Arning belonged to American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Lillian Arning worshiped at Assumption Catholic church and was a St. Louis Missouri resident when she passed away at a hospital there, 9 October 1961.

She was predeceased by one son, Harold Arning; one daughter, Louise Arning; and one sister, Grace, Mrs. Ed Clifford.

She was survived by: her widower husband, Alfred Arning; a son and daughter; a half brother William Sattelmeyer; sisters Mrs. Florence Scharnhorst and Mrs. Harvey Dodds; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and various nieces and nephews.
