Mrs. Don Holeton Dies; Lived Here 50 Years

Mrs. Don (Mary K.) Holeton, 76, 126 W. Park Ave., died Sunday at 9:00 p.m. in the Glenn View Manor Nursing Home of complications following a year and a half illness. She had resided in the nursing home four months.

Born Aug. 31, 1889 in Newton Falls, Oh., she was the daughter of Charles and Blanche Kinnaman Kistler and resided in Niles 50 years, coming from Warren.

She has been affiliated with the Holeton Funeral Home 50 years. A member of the First Methodist Church, she was a member of the Ida McKinley Chapter 229 Order of Eastern Star, Study Hour Club, Business & Professional Women's Club, Mothers Club, Dorcas Circle of the church, Ferndale Rebekah Lodge 607 and the Century Club.

Her husband Don, who was a director at the Holeton Funeral Home died Oct. 20, 1934. Her son, James also affiliated with the funeral home, died Jan. 9, 1943.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Don, of Columbus and Mrs. Thomas (Claudia) Triplett, of Norfolk, Va.; two great grandchildren, two nieces, Mrs. Lee (Mary) Powell of Braceville, Oh., Miss E. Suzanne Holeton, of New York City and one nephew, John Whitney, of Niles.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Holeton Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Ganyard of the First Methodist Church officiating.

Friends may call at the Holeton Funeral Home Tuesday evening.

Interment will be in Niles City Cemetery.
