Caroling (Focht) Schultz was married to Cornelius Schultz in Russia in 1869. To this union were born 4 children, two of whom died in infancy. In 1874 she set out with others to sail to America. However, she died on the ship, and was buried in the sea. She was survived by her husband, aged mother, and 2 children (Mrs. Tobias Yoder, Allensville, Pa.; and Tobias Shultz, Belleville, Pa.)
