James D. "Doug" DeLoach, 72, died Sunday morning at his residence.

He was a native and life-long resident of Bulloch County, an honorary member of the Go Bar Hunting Club and a member of the Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Katie Foss DeLoach, Denmark; one son, Jimmy DeLoach, Savannah; one step-son, Thomas J. Foss, Denmark; two step-daughters, Mrs. Mary R. Miller, Denmark and Mrs. Faye Jeffrey, Bentonville, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Rita Hagin, Leefield, Mrs. Isabel Fordham, Brooklet and Mrs. Audrey Royal, Statesboro; two brothers, Emory DeLoach, Denmark and Richard DeLoach, Tybee Island; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mr. DeLoach will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the chapel of the Hodges-Turner Funeral Home with the Elder Woodrow Beasley officiating, assisted by Elder Howard Cox.

Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be grandsons.

Hodges-Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
