A memorial service celebrating the life of Joyce Bilberry Braddock will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at Broadmoor Baptist Church, Memorial Chapel with Dr. Larry Williams officiating. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25th in the Chapel at The Glen. Mrs. Braddock was born in Bastrop, LA on October 15, 1924 to James T. Bilberry and Sarah E. Cockrell Bilberry and passed away on August 21, 2016 at The Glen. She was a member of the Broadmoor Baptist Church. Joyce was very involved with her community at The Glen.
Mrs. Braddock is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Calvin Braddock. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Barbara Ann Braddock; son David Brett Braddock and wife, Sandi; grandchildren Brett Tarver Braddock and wife Lindsey, Ryan Daniel Braddock, John David Braddock and wife, Kate, Charles Oliver and wife, Jennifer, Michael Oliver and wife, Chesha, Kimberly Oliver Hancock and husband, Paul and Michelle Oliver Markey and husband, Kirk. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Tarver, Stella, Caroline, John David “Jack” Braddock, Jr. and Savannah Braddock, Mary, Kate, Lizzie, Francie, Will and Nate Oliver, Emily and Ben Hancock, Logan, Megan and Madison Rouly and Oliver Markey; brother Dr. James “Sonny” Bilberry, Sr and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, P. O. Box 4196, Monroe, LA 71211
