Mary Lucille Brown passed away peacefully at 3:10 AM Saturday, March 19, 2016. Mary was born November 29, 1929 in Aurora, MO to Rossie and Farrel (Springer) Harmon.
One warm July day in 1947, Mary stole Eddie Brown's heart with a simple 'Happy Birthday" wish, and they have been inseparable since. They were married on May 3, 1948 and started a family that has remained very close through four generations. Mary was a loving and wonderful mom to three boys, Paul (Nancy), Mark (Bethany), and Kevin (Gwen). She and Eddie also played a huge role in the lives of their three grandchildren, Justin Brown (Deanna), Barbara Neely (Bryan), and Courtney Brown, and greatgrandchildren, Chase, Emmit, and Bodhi, along with beloved nieces, nephews and honorary grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James Harmon and Gene Harmon, and a sister, Atha Lee Sanders, as well as three sons, Steven, Mark and Kevin.
Visitation was Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM with funeral services immediately following at 3:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home, Marionville, MO. Burial followed at Marionville IOOF Cemetery, Marionville. Memorial contributions can be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks, 3372 W. Battlefield, Springfield, MO 65807 or Ozarks Food Harvest, 2810 N. Cedarbrook, Springfield, MO 65803.
