Alberta C. Blauser, 83, formerly of Oil City, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, at UPMC-Hamot in Erie, after a period of declining health. Born Dec. 14, 1932, in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine Dyjak Hajduk.
She was a graduate of Oil City High School, and later in life she attended Venango Campus of Clarion University. She worked as secretary to Dr. Thaddeus Gabreski, later became the administrator of the Presbyterian Home, and concluded her career at the Franklin hospital. She was a member of St. Stephen Church. She loved cooking and entertaining, enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and reading, was very focused of her family, and was a beloved mother and grandmother.
She married William H. Blauser and he survives, with three children and their spouses, William Blauser Jr. and wife, Karen, of Oil City, Greg Blauser and wife, Chrissie, of Oil City and Catherine Stiller and husband, Tom, of Erie; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Matthew "Bosco" Hajduk and wife, Betsy, of Oil City and Harry Hajduk of California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Blauser; four brothers, John Hajduk, Stanley Hajduk, Joseph Hajduk and Frank "Tex" Hajduk; and three sisters, Helen Kozyro, Cecilia Kerschner and Mary Meyer.
Services will be held at Reinsel Funeral Home at 1 pm Friday with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan presiding. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
