Grant was born in Champaign County to Clyde and Hazel (Moore) Barnhart on October 9, 1943. He went to school at Unity, Tolono, IL. He was a veteran of Army National Guard. Grant very much enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and classical cars.
Grant is preceded in death by his Father, Clyde Barnhart, Mother, Hazel Barnhart (Moore), Wife, Shirley Barnhart (Hammelman), and Nephew, Steve Barnhart.
Funeral services will be a private internment.
A memorial will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 and the Lake of the Woods Swiss Valley Shelter 11-1.
