SOUTH BEND - Marjorie Lucille (Schafer) Habermann, 93, of South Bend, IN, passed away on August 21, 2016 in Greensboro, NC.
Marjorie was born on the family farm, Osborne Rd., Lakeville, IN to Delbert and Mabel Schafer on October 26, 1922. She graduated from Lakeville High School in 1940, later attending South Bend College of Commerce, then was employed at Standard Oil Company in South Bend for several years. Marge moved from Pittsfield, MA back to the South Bend area in 1970 where she worked primarily as a legal assistant at Barnes and Thornburg Law firm until her retirement. Marge is preceded in death by her husband, William F. Habermann; two sons, William and Alan Habermann of South Bend; a sister, Jeanette Manges of Bremen; two brothers, Nelson and Robert Schafer of South Bend, and a great-granddaughter, Molly Habermann of Tequesta, FL.
Marjorie is survived by a son, Daniel Habermann of Niles, MI; daughter, Susan A Habermann of Greensboro, NC; son, Frederick and Susan K. Habermann of Davie, FL; grandchildren, Andy and Kim Habermann, Jessie Bastos, Ian and Jessica Habermann; and great-grandchildren: Kyle, Dylan, and Christian Bastos; Nelly, Quinn, and Kora Habermann, Indy and Elanor Habermann.
