ROCK HILL – Mrs. Gladys Carter Mackey, 85, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at her home.

Born in Catawba, SC, Mrs. Mackey was a daughter of the late Ernest Woodward Carter and the late Annie Belle Sturgis Carter. She was retired from Celanese with 32 years of service. She was a member of Catawba Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, yardwork and gardening with her late husband, Furman Grady Mackey.
Surviving are her two sons, and three grandchildren.
