Maria Irene Domingues de Estrada born January 26, 1871 at Canon Juan Tafoya, Valencia New Mexico



Mrs. Maria Irene Domingues de Estrada died at one o'clock Wednesday on the 19th day of the January 1910 in Gallup, New Mexico. The church services were conducted from the Sacred Heart Church at 10 o'clock Friday, January 21, 1910 Gallup, New Mexico. The funeral services were conducted under the charge of the Society Zaragoza and Spanish.

Survivors include her husband Jose Estrada and six children: daughters, Francisca Lopez 15 years old married James Levett Jul 14 1913 resident of
Gallup New Mexico formerly of Socorro, Lugarita Estrada 5 years old, Felisa Estrada 7 years old, sons: Amado Lopez 18 years old, Esperiron Estrada 5 years old. Mother, Maria Feliz Domingues, sisters: Maria Paz Domingues, Vicenta Domingues married to Procopio Valdez, Elviria married to Jose Hernadez, Escolastic married to Demetrio Barela, Maria Perfilia Dominguez, Telesfora Dominguez, Mariana Dominguez; Brothers; Jose Leon married to Leoner Gabaldon, Donaciano Domingues 18 years old.



She was preceded in death by her father., Jose Donaciano Domingues, in May 14, 1902 in San Rafael. He is listed in the 1890 Special Census for Surviving, Soldiers, San Rafael, Valencia County, NM, Page 1, ED 100, #2, Home NO.3, Family, 4 Donaciano Dominguez, Private, Company B, Regiment 1, US Infantry, Enlisted July 26 1861, served 2 years. 9 months.

He is listed :

Census 1: 1880 San Rafael, Valencia, New Mexico.

Census 2: 1900, San Rafael, Valencia, New Mexico.

Civil war: July 26 1861, Valencia County.

Also as the Justice of the Peace, he acted in the signing of the Petition and Manifest for the community of San Rafael with the collaboration of those holding of claimed land to continue even after Fort Wingate left San Rafael area and moved to the Gallup Area.

7. Logardita Estrada (Lou) – July 3, 1907
