Aragon, Aaron Lawrence

Our precious angel Aaron Lawrence Aragon passed away from the world into internal life on February 10, 2006, at the age of 16. Aaron was born on December 1, 1989 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Dominic and Denise Aragon. He is survived by his closest friend and sister, Amber; and grandparents William and Julia Aragon and Lawrence and Sharynn Lundbohm. He also has many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Aaron grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he was a student at Rudy Elementary, Sabin Middle School and Doherty High School. While attending Doherty High School he maintained a GPA of 3.5 and played basketball. He had the greatest love for basketball and played year round on traveling basketball teams. His favorite number is #23. Aaron touched the lives of so many people. He had a spirit larger than life and once you met him you would have never forgot him. He cared so much about others before himself. Aaron, just three weeks ago, was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called "Aplastic Anemia". He was a perfectly healthy child and had no symptoms until he was already at the severest point of this disease. Aaron fought dearly for three weeks and pulled through many very difficult obstacles and we are so proud of you son. Aaron especially struggled with having to be isolated from his family and friends that he loved so much, but isolation was necessary to save his life. Son, we know that you¹re in a better place and that you are free of pain. Our hearts ache for you, you will always be with us. We will never forget your smile. We all love you and will miss you dearly. We will meet again in heaven. Son you are the "G"! Special thanks to the Choa Staff of Colorado Springs and the entire staff at Memorial Hospital PIC U for touching our angels life. We would also like to thank all our family and friends for the tremendous amount of prayer and love that you still send our way. We love you all! A gathering will be on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cappadona¹s Family Funeral Home, 1020 E. Fillmore St. A Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 N. Carefree Circle. Reception to follow services, Holy Apostle Catholic Church.
