Aaron Guidry, 22, was struck by an automobile in Arnaudville, Louisiana. He was struck by 28 year old Brandon Allemond, when he was walking south of a curve on LA 93 in the middle of the southbound lane. It was dark and Aaron Guidry was wearing black shorts and light top. He was struck when Allemond was navigating through the curve. He was unable to stop in time and struck Guidry who died at the scene.

CHURCH POINT- Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home in Arnaudville for Aaron Lucas Guidry, 22, who passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Arnaudville.

Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Steve Horn, pastor of First Baptist Church of Lafayette, will officiate at the services.

Aaron was a native of Carencro, where he attended Carencro Catholic School. He attended Beau Chene High School, where he played on the baseball team.

Survivors include his mother, Tammy Carmello Guidry of Carencro; one brother, Joshua Kahona Guidry of Athens, AL; paternal grandmother, Jeanette Stoute Guidry; maternal grandparents, Patsy Landry and husband, Gerald, of Church Point; his godmother, Lisa G. Huval and husband, Randy, of Arnaudville, and his godfather, Billy Key and his wife, Tina, of Athens, AL. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley "Tee" Guidry, Jr; his paternal grandfather, Stanley Guidry, Sr.; his maternal grandfather, Floyd Florence Carmello; great-grandparents, Sam and Burnice Guidry, Hulin and Ida Stoute, Thomas and Evangeline Briscoe, John and Isabella Carmello, and one uncle, Floyd Anthony Carmello.

A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Billy Key, Jerome Landry, Jason Landry, Guy Landry, Jamie Huval and Forest Leger. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Guidry, Brock Boudreaux and Darrell Savoy.
