Leland Wesley Taylor, 69 of Cameron died Thursday, August 18, 2005 in a Cameron hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty cemetery near Hanover. Family visitation will be held Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Taylor, a retired mechanic, was born April 4, 1936 in Buckholts to Clyde and Eva (Butterfield) Taylor. He was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Shaffer Taylor in 1991 and in January 2003 he married Julia (Julie) Lee Peikert. Two brothers, Clyde Taylor and Dennis Taylor also precede him in death. Survivors include: Wife Julie Taylor of Cameron Sons Leland Taylor of Temple, Charles Taylor of Fortuna, Mo. Daughter Mary Posival of Pettibone, brothers Bobby Taylor, Wayne Taylor and Alan Taylor; Sisters Belle Sparrow, Jeannette Gill, Eunice Fleshman, Barbara Burns, Mavis Edington, Sharon Linn 4 grandchildren.
