Former Shawnee resident A. Nadean Rives, 86, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, in Yukon.
She was born June 14, 1930, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma, to Adolphus Bennett and Nellie May (Stanley) Engle.
Nadean was a member of Oakgrove Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, as well as shopping with her granddaughters.
Nadean was preceded in death by her parents; nine brothers and sisters; and grandson, Trevor Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Rives; sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Linda Smith, Lynn and Glenda Smith, Ray and Deidre Emmons, Bryan and Kathleen Reed; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Engle, Sammy Engle, and Tootie Engle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19, at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
