Lily L. Harrison of Willcox died March 14, 2007 at the age of 89. She was born on Jan. 18, 1918 in Ivan, Texas.
Lily married T. J. Harrison on November 28, 1935 in Breckenridge, Texas, and they moved to Arizona where T.J. worked for the railroad. Lily was a career woman while living in Willcox, where she worked for the Willcox Commercial Company, Valley Store and Austin Drugs. For 31 years she and T.J. lived in Pinetop moving back to Willcox in 1997. While in Pinetop, Lily worked at Nick's Dry Cleaners in Lakeside and assisted her husband with the Texaco Station they owned for three years. She was an avid sports fan of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren by supporting them when ever possible. She was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. Lily was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughter Jerry Collins of Phoenix, and her son Tom (Marlene) Harrison of Weed, Calif. Also surviving are six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Preceding her in death was her husband T.J. on Dec. 4, 2006, a daughter Margaret George, her parents Elzy and Sarah Emma (Gann) Cretsinger, and seven brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Lily's life will be held on Monday, April 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the Willcox United Methodist Church.
