Abigail S. Pittenger, 94, passed away Thursday February 27, 2014. She was born September 7, 1919 in Camden, NJ and lived most of her life in Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey until moving to Portsmouth seven years ago. She was the daughter of the late Absolem Hetzel and Edith Richardson Hetzel Boughter and the widow of James Pittenger. She was predeceased by her older sisters, Edith Shultz and Dorthy Hoelzel and her grandson David Derr. She was a retiree of the Crayola Factory in Easton, PA and was a member of its 25 year club.
Mrs. Pittenger is survived by her son, James E. Derr and wife Virginia; granddaughter and her husband, grandson and his wife and six great-grandchildren.
