Ruby “Setha” Ophelia Hall Jones, the “Firey Red-headed Iris Lady,” died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at home. She was born on May 10, 1922 at the Homestead in Okolona, Arkansas.

She never met an Iris she didn’t love!! Eventually growing over 4000 varieties of them.

During WWII she was a welder. In the 1950’s & 60’s she taught at a Business College, was a long-time member of the Elks #399, a Life-time member of Northern Hills(formerly County Ave. Baptist) and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Josiah Hall and Minnie Rene Brewer Hall; her brother, Robert Kinman Hall; her sister, Terri Margene Hall Dennington; her husband, Denton C. “DC” Jones, Sr.; and longtime special friend, Lynn Hamilton.
