Gary was born in Topeka Kansas, on October 14, 1950 and died on July 10, 2016 in Auburn, CA. Gary moved to the Sacramento area with his parents in the 1960’s attending Sacramento Adventist (Union) Academy in Carmichael, CA until graduation in 1968. Upon graduation Gary joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War as an air traffic controller on the U.S.S. IWO JIMA (LPH2) from 1968 to 1972.

Gary loved to travel, enjoy a great meal, and experience nature. Gary leaves behind his daughter Paula, son Joshua, daughter Virginia, mother Irene, brother Ronald, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
