Frances Wilkinson, 72, St. Maries, Idaho passed away at Kootenai Memorial Hospital, August 13, 2016 with her family by her side.

Frances was an active member within her community. She worked at St. Maries School District until her retirement. She is a member of the Eagles Lodge, played softball, & volunteered at the Senior Center.

She loved meeting up with friends & family; whether it was playing cards, shopping trips, lunch, traveling, or coffee & chatting. She enjoyed her garden & every summer picking huckleberries. She said that it was very therapeutic for her. We found her delicious huckleberry treats to be just as therapeutic.

Her greatest joy was her family. She had recently spent time with her great grandson’s, Nathan & Matthew. Guests were always welcome and left feeling better than when they arrived.

She is survived by her husband Tom, St. Maries, her daughter Eileen Henderson (husband Tom), Liberty Lake, WA, & son Vernon Wilkinson, Reno, NV. Five grandchildren, Michelle (Brian) Ullrich, Las Vegas, Nick Henderson, Kuwait, & Jennifer Henderson, Afghanistan, Codee Wilkinson, Reno, NV, Lacee Wilkinson, Reno, NV; two great grandchildren & numerous nephews, nieces, & cousins also survive her.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Irene Schmier, Savage, MT, Marty Hansen, Astoria, OR, Delores (Robert) Lanky, Lakewood, CO, Florence Dinius, Mullan, ID, Delton (Jean) Christman, Billings, MT, Betty Johnson, Caldwell, ID, Grace (Lynn) Johnson, Heyburn, ID, Linda Christman, Nampa, ID, Calvin (Linda) Christman, Republic, WA, Carolyn Kolczak, Osburn, ID.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chris & Emma Christman, Brothers Vernon Christman & Lee Christman, & sisters, Edna Nipper & Millie Amsden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Maries Senior Center, 605 Main St., St. Maries, ID 83861 in her name.
