Frances Gloria DeSanty, 74, of Milford, found eternal rest on Aug. 16, 2016 at The Connecticut Hospice, Branford surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of her beloved husband, Augustine “Gus” DeSanty. Born in New Haven on July 14, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Louise “Gigi” Girolomoni Teodosio. Frances grew up in New Haven, attending St. Michael’s School and Laurelton Hall Academy. Her father was a well know restaurateur, operating Frankie’s of New Haven at Chapel and Franklin St., and later, Frankie’s Villa Pompeii in Orange. Frances loved life…ALL of it. She always made the best of every situation with the help of her marvelous sense of humor. She was an extraordinary mother and wife as well as a loving and loyal person. Her home and her kitchen table were places all were welcome for a compassionate ear or for a fantastic Italian meal. Entertaining was one of her passions. She enjoyed singing and dancing and was even an unforgettable fashion model. She enjoyed traveling, tennis and golf and donated her time to her favorite charities and to her parish church. She is survived by her three devoted children, Joseph (Mary) Gloria of Stratford, Louise (Jed) Furst of Milford and Francesca (Ronald) LoRicco of Woodbridge; a brother, Frank (Carol) Teodosio of Orange; a sister, Teresa Cavaliero of Milford; her sister in law, Linda Teodosio of Jupiter, FL.; five grandchildren, Alexandra, Ronald Jr., Gabriella, Alexis and Juliana; as well as many nieces and nephews from CT., NY., MA. and FL. She was predeceased by her former husband, Joseph “the flower” Gloria and her brother, Nicholas Teodosio. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Center Road, Woodbridge Friday morning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to Alzheimer’s Association, CT. Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Hwy., Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
