Matthew J. Golubieski passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 89 years old.

Born in Plains, PA, he has resided in Woodbridge since 1955.

Mr. Golubieski was employed by RCA Corporation and General Electric in Harrison and Avenel for 33 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1987.

He was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge where he has served as a Eucharistic Minister since 1975 and was a member of Middlesex Council 857, Knights of Columbus, Woodbridge.

A United States Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Golubieski belonged to T. Nulty Post 471, American Legion in Iselin.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bertha and Bernard Golubieski, and 6 sisters and brothers.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Krzywicki Golubieski; his children, Linda Gioino of Monroe Township, James Golubieski of Cranbury, Elizabeth Donnenwirth of Groton, MA, Mary Ellen Carpenter of Warren and John Golubieski of Monmouth Junction; ten grandchildren; and two great granddaughters.

Funeral services will be on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Entombment will be in Saint James Chapel Mausoleum, Hopelawn. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Saint James Food Pantry, 148 Grenville Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095 or Robert Wood Johnson Hospice, c/o VNA Health Group, 176 Riverside Road, Red Bank, NJ 07701 in Mr. Golubieski's memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
