Mrs. HOSIE D. SARGOOD
EAST ARLINGTON - Mrs. Hosie D. Sargood, 66, of East Arlington, the former Hallie Virginia Hall, died Wednesday night at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington after a short illness.
The daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Hoover) Hall, she was born in Sunderland Aug 7, 1900. She had attended schools in the area and has spent all her life in this vicinity.
She was married to Mr. Sargood in 1919. She was a member of the East Arlington Federated Church.
Survivors besides her husband are one son, Jerry of East Arlington and one daugther, Mrs. Mary Skidmore of Bennington; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visiting hours at the Hanson- Walbridge Funeral Home in Arlington are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
The funeral will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 11 am with the Rev. Granville Greenwood, pastor of the Federated Church, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Evergren Cemetery.
In liue of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home office.
