Mrs. FLORA R. HULET
ARLINGTON - Mrs. Flora Rosannah Hulet, 83, native of Sunderland, who had spent most of her life in the Shaftsbury and Arlington area, died at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington Wednesday. She had been a patient at the hospital for a week. She lived in Arlington recently.
The daughter of Walter E. and Effie (Mattison) Perkins, she was born Aug 1, 1876. Her schooling had been received in Arlington and Shaftsbury. She was married to Almon S. Hulet in Arlington in December, 1896. The family had been living in the Shaftsbury-Arlington area while they were engaged in farming until Mr. Hulet's death in 1929.
Mrs. Hulet was a charter member of Taconic Grange of Shaftsbury and a member of Red Mountain Chapter 41, Order Eastern Star of Arlington. Grange and Eastern Star members will hold services at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, Bennington, Friday night.
Survivors include one son, Bliss A. Hulet of Arlington; one daughter, Mrs. Curnel Vaughn of Arlington; seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A son Horace E. Hulet, with whom she made her home after her husband's death, died in 1956.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening when the family will be in attendance from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Charles W. Grande, Federated Church pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn vault and burial will be later in Evergreen Cemetery, Arlington.
