She was also involved in the Bottineau County, Renville County and North Dakota State Fairs. Dora Mae was the Bottineau County Assessor for several years. She also worked at the Minot Air Force Base for four years as an Event Coordinator for the Officers’ Club. She sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry for 13 years, and was the District Manager for 10 years. Fashion and style were who she was. She always was classy and stunning, and could wear high heels like no other!

Dora Mae’s flower garden was her therapy. She had a green thumb like no other. In Minot, her yard was on the garden tour for three years and was one of the best. Anyone who knew Dora Mae, knew of this passion, as she would share her flowers with many.

Entertaining was another one of her fortes. She loved planning a party and serving up the best food ever! Fun was always had by all.

Her kitchen was a haven that she loved. She loved baking, as she would bake for others and even in the last year she would bake for special customers.
