Funeral for Willie Gildon, age 73 of Manor, will be Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Little Zion Baptist Church with Reverend E. B. Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will be in Parks Springs Cemetery under the direction of King-Tears Mortuary. Gildon died September 11.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mae Gildon, his step-daughter, Mrs. Estella Piper of Houston; a step-grandson, Danny Piper, also of Houston; one brother, Charles Gildon of San Diego, California; five sisters, Mrs. Alice Washington of Littig, Mrs. Bessie White of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. M. L. Russel, Mrs. Frances Simms and Mrs. Minnie Killingsworth, all of San Diego and several nieces and nephews.
