Chesley Ring, who had been a resident of Casey for many years, dropped dead unexpectedly, Saturday afternoon about 4 o'clock while he and his son, "Dutch" Ring, were filling a straw tick with straw at the farm home of Glen Jones, about a mile east of Casey.
He had shown no symptoms of ill health, ate a hearty dinner, Saturday and went about his chores as usual during the afternoon. His death is ascribed to heart disease.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 o'clock at the Baptist Church. Interment was made in Partlow Cemetery.
