Bob was born September 20, 1937, in Cass County, Texas, to Charlie and Lynn Avery. He was a retired Bossier City police officer and Bossier Parrish Deputy Sheriff and a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John W. Avery; and one sister, Charlene Shull.
